Matcha Iced Tea

Matcha Iced Tea Recipe

A refreshing matcha iced tea for hot summer days - ready in 5 minutes!

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp Organic Matcha Powder
  • 1/4 cup Hot Water
  • 1 cup Crushed Ice
  • 2 cups Cold Water
  • 3 sprigs Fresh Mint + extra for Garnish
  • 5 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 Lime

Method using an Immersion Blender:

  1. In a heat proof jug combine the matcha powder and hot water - mix well to combine.
  2. Add crushed iced, cold water and fresh mint - mix with the immersion blender for a minute or two.
  3. Strain through a sieve. Add maple syrup and juice from half the lime.
  4. Taste and adjust to your preference. Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves and lime slices.

Method using a Food Processor/Blender:

  1. In a mug combine matcha powder and hot water - mix well to combine.
  2. In the food processor/blender, add ice, cold water and fresh mint, then pour in the matcha tea. Pulse for about a minute.
  3. Strain through a sieve. Add maple syrup and juice from half the lime.
  4. Taste and adjust to your preference. Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves and lime slices.
