Coconut oil and organic grass-fed butter are high in Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs). MCTs are passively absorbed into the blood stream, providing easy, instant fuel for your mind and body. They are also full of other vitamins and minerals – certainly a suitable ‘match’ for matcha. The combination of oil and butter in a drink may sound strange to you, but try this recipe and you won’t look back. It’s creamy, slightly bitter, and gently energising. It’s a keeper!
- 1t Ceremonial grade matcha powder
- 250mL hot water
- 1T coconut oil
- 1T butter
- Combine all ingredients in a blender, or whizz in a tall container with a hand blender.
- Pour into a pre-warmed mug and enjoy.
